Californians rejoiced after the approval of Proposition 64, legalizing the recreational use of cannabis. But what does that mean for the average cannabis consumer? It means the glory days of cannabis connoisseurship have arrived and without a moment to spare. With cannabis concentrates gaining acceptance within the cannabis community and cannabis vaporizers evolving to the point where terpene release is more of an art than a science, more and more people are discovering the great flavors locked within their cannabis. These people are becoming, in effect, terpene connoisseurs.

Terprenes

To be a Terpene Connoisseur you need a vaporizer, sorry, there’s no way of getting around this. A vaporizer will allow you to truly taste the terpenes in your cannabis. Other methods of ingesting cannabis like hitting a blunt or a bong, burn the weed, plant matter and all. A good amount of the terps are burned away and the flavors are lost forever. Vaporizers, especially concentrate vaporizers are the best way to really appreciate cannabis terpenes. Now when it comes to vaporizers, there are three general categories: flower vaporizers, wax concentrate vaporizers, and oil vaporizers. For me, concentrates are the best way to really appreciate terpenes. I feel they provide the best and truest terpene taste while minimizing the taste of vaporized plant matter. That’s not to throw shade on flower vaporizers, I like them too. To each his own. In my experience, there is currently one vaporizer company that takes terpene connoisseurship seriously and that’s Linx Vapor. I use my Linx Ares for concentrates and my Linx Gaia for flower. Both vaporizers provide top quality flavor and quality construction. Every terpene connoisseur should add Linx vaporizers to their collection.
