In the vast world of concentrate vaporizers, there is no shortage of atomizers to pick from. While most of us choose the most popular options, there are various differences in each atomizer. Starting from materials used, to bowl size, dishes, and coil type. These differences may mean one fits your needs better than others. Some of the most popular atomizer options on the market feature Exposed Quartz Coils or Inlaid Quartz Coils as the heating element.
Quartz is the most popular material for atomizers and bangers due to its great heat retention and ability to retain the flavor of your wax. But which type of Quartz atomizer is right for you?
So, are you ready for some knowledge? Are you ready to stop being lost in the vast world of extract vaporizer atomizers and learn the differences between:
So, what is the biggest difference in atomizers and why does it matter? Well, depending on your goal, each atomizer is going to deliver a different experience, starting from cloud production to flavor and heat retention. Which means, depending on which one of these matters most to you, there is an atomizer out there meant for you. Each atomizer will have its advantages and disadvantages- so let's take a closer look at which one is right for you.
Exposed Quartz Coil’s
Exposed Coils are a great way to introduce your extract to direct heat which creates more vapor and massive clouds. Exposed Coil vaporizers usually have one or more coils made from titanium wrapped around a Quartz rod. The more of the coils you have, the more heat and vapor is produced.
Exposed coil atomizers are known to produce intense heat, create big vapor, and can handle large amounts of extract, but they have disadvantages as well. While these atomizers have the reputation of heating up very fast, they lack the ability to retain their heat well over time, which can result in having to use more power to keep a consistent temperature. So, while big clouds are great, get ready to always have a portable charger with you just in case you need a recharge.
Unfortunately, while Exposed Coils do produce more heat they also create bigger messes. These coils can be hard to clean, making simple maintenance when using extracts a bit of a chore compared to other extract atomizers. Exposed coils are also known to be difficult to load, and depending on the coil size, wax can fall below the heating element causing performance issues. This may affect the quality of taste over time depending on the type of wax you have.
Inlaid Quartz Coils
Inlaid Quartz Coil atomizers feature a layer of quartz covering the heating element. With the use of Inlaid Coil Atomizers, you can be sure you’ll get flavorful and intense clouds with none of the downsides of exposed coils
Did you know that Quartz is known for preserving the flavor of your extracts, as well as the terpenes when used at lower temperature settings?
These atomizers have a quick heating time which results in bigger cloud production, and the large quartz layer will retain the heat well, meaning you’ll get the most out of every dab.
With the quartz layer being a large flat surface, your extract will burn evenly, and no wax will drop below the heating element.
Cleaning is a breeze with this atomizer, but it is important to clean after every use to avoid buildup on the flat surface. The high heat output could cause performance issues if your atomizer is not cleaned thoroughly. But with regular maintenance, these atomizers will last and give you the same taste and vapor production as it did with your first use.
Here are some of our recommendations for atomizers designed to highlight your extracts, last for ages, and most of all give you an unforgettable experience.
If you are looking for a powerful and versatile device that can give you the ability to be used as an E-Nail or a Portable Dab Rig then The Linx Apollo is for you.
