Getting the Mouthpiece Cleaned

Since the mouthpiece is where most of the vapor is passing through, it tends to be one of the dirtier pieces of your vape.

To clean the mouthpiece, start by removing it from your device. Then, using a cotton swab or Q-tip, apply some rubbing alcohol to the inside of the mouthpiece and scrub it gently. If your vape is pretty dirty you can try using a dry Q-tip and taking off as much of the residue as possible. This should help remove most of the problem before trying to use alcohol which will cause the oil to loosen and spread more easily.

Once you've given it a good cleaning, rinse the mouthpiece with warm water and dry it off before putting it back on your device.

Cleaning the Battery

You won't have to worry about cleaning the battery as often as you will the mouthpiece because it isn't exposed to as much vapor.

To clean the battery, start by removing it from your device. Then, dip a cotton swab or Q-tip into some rubbing alcohol and clean the battery gently. When you’re learning how to clean a vape battery, it’s important to clean both ends of the battery, as well as the exterior and the air path. You should never submerge the battery in isopropyl alcohol.

When to Replace the Atomizer

Even though the outer shell of your vape might last forever the internal parts will need more maintenance.

Here are a few ways you can tell if your atomizer is getting to the point where you need to replace it when learning how to clean a vape.

  • If there is major discoloration or build up in the coils
  • If it or the coils are physically damaged and you can easily see the damage
  • If the flavor of your vape is altered and tastes burned
  • If you‚Äôre experiencing smaller clouds¬†
  • If it keeps leaking

You should perform maintenance every six to eight uses to remove any leftover material that can cause damage and can prevent your vape from working properly.
