Glass and organic glass are two materials commonly used in vaporizer mouthpieces.

Glasses are based on the chemical compound silica (silicon dioxide), the primary constituent of sand.  Organic glass, also called Polymethyl methacrylate or PMMA, is a clear, colorless polymer.  It's in fact, a type of plastic.  PMMA is commonly used in many medical procedures, including, but not limited to: orthopedic implants, cosmetic surgery, dentures, and bone remodeling. Its wide use in the medical field may have been what prompted so many major vaporizer brands to use this material in the construction of their mouthpiece.

In the vaping community, many users prefer glass over plastic mouthpieces for the taste of vapor. Some are skeptical of plastics and avoid them all together.  So which material is the best option for you?

Glass Mouthpiece

  • Purer taste
  • Easy to clean and sterilize
  • Doesn't discolor
  • Scratch resistance
  • Environmentally friendly, easy to recycle

Glass Mouthpiece Cons
